Food Art by Wai
We talked about food and Pop Artist Claes Oldenburg . Oldenburg created sculptures of american food. We are creating a collage of English food. We discussed ideas about English foods
Typical English foods are fish & chips, Roast chicken, strawberries and cream, trifle, bananas and custard and fish, Jacket potatoe.
I created a collage of a buisciut, cake, sandwhich, lemon cake on a shiny purple plate.
My collage is made from papers and wrappers it is wet from the glue.

Firstly today we had a little discussion about POP ART and what we were going to do. We then got some black and white prints by Roy Lichenstein. We each had a particular print and we all had to draw a copy of this print. After doing the first print I did another drawing but this time I added colour. Finally we all had to pick out our favourite cartoon character. My favourite cartoon character is Bugs Bunny which was printed from the internet. Then we sat down and copied our cartoon characters in our sketch books.
Post from Happy Wanderer
Dear Hazel,
I am sending you a picture of me drawing at college. I hope you like it. This picture is called POP ART. My picture is of a girl with a ball and I drew it over tracing paper. I did a drawing of Garfield the cat which I drew freehand. I started with the outline then pencilled in the detail.
Hope you like it. Please get in contact with Happy Wanderer.
